Happy to announce – it’s finally time for reopening at Rox Skin Studio, LLC. I’m back in the studio this week. 👏🏻😍
I’m so looking forward to seeing you. At this time, some things are a little different than before…

♡︎ For the time being, online booking IS NOT available. This allows me to be in complete control of the schedule – and insure proper timing, cleaning, and social distancing between treatments/clients.
♡︎ Please wait in the parking lot and call or text me when you arrive. I will let you know when to come in.
♡︎ You must wear a mask/protective face covering as you enter and exit Mattison Avenue Salon Suites & Spa. Once you are in my room, you may remove your mask.
♡︎ I will have hand sanitizer available for you to use as you enter and exit my room.
♡︎ I will only have one person in my treatment room at a time. Please do not bring children or extra people with you who are not receiving a service.

Temporary Closure – Coronavirus / COVID-19 update

After careful consideration and additional monitoring of the evolving COVID-19/Coronavirus situation – I have made the incredibly difficult decision to temporarily close my studio.  With an abundance of caution, I am following suit with the mandatory closures of other types of business set forth by the City of Plano. We’ve been encouraged to practice social distancing and avoid nonessential activities.

At this time, I’m canceling existing appointments, and closing the online booking option. We will have to rework and revisit scheduling when we know more.

I’m praying for all of us to have health, safety and peace during this difficult and unusual time.

Out of this world facials

The new high tech skincare trend of LED facial masks and devices can be seen everywhere from YouTube to Instagram…it’s especially popular with celebrities and celebrity estheticians. Why? LLLT (low level light therapy) is the new cutting edge anti-aging regimen.

What is LLLT and how was it developed? Well, it’s a bit of an “out of this world” story 🤣…Sources indicate that NASA first harnessed light-emitting diode (LED) power to enable plants to grow on the space shuttle in zero gravity. Later, NASA scientists utilized LED therapy to accelerate the wound healing for astronauts. (Read more here The Facial That Came From Outer Space)

What does LED therapy do for the skin? Essentially, various wavelengths of light penetrate to different depths of the skin. We view these various wavelengths as different colors. The most commonly used wavelengths utilized for benefitting the skin are red and blue. Red stimulates fibroblasts in the skin to produce collagen and speeds heeling/repair (diminishing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles). Blue kills bacteria that causes acne. Additionally, some of the best factors regarding LED treatments are that they are painless and non-invasive with no downtime.

At Rox Skin Studio, LLC, I have previously utilized LED therapy in a variety of treatments and seen the results first hand. I’m excited to share that I have recently added a Celluma® PRO light panel to the treatment room.
